Celebrating Summer With Drayton Entertainment's Legends Of Rock 'n' Roll

This summer Drayton Entertainment is delighting audiences with memories from days done gone by with Legends Of Rock ‘n’ Roll.  This blast from the past spectacle includes tributes to many legendary artists, through entertaining song and dance numbers that the LEGENDS shows are known for.  There’s something for everyone in this stage production.  Whether it be songs from your youth or classics from before you were born, you’ll be singing along with the cast of this captivating show.

Some performances are in recognition of famous bands while others are highlighting different eras in music history.  The styles range from doo wop bands to disco era ensembles.  There is audience interaction and some comedic bits thrown in the mix as well.  This show will have you humming these classics from the time you leave the Dunfield Theatre all the way on the journey home.  We think you will thoroughly enjoy Legends Of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Think of it as American Bandstand meets The Ed Sullivan Show meets Solid Gold.

A Family Matters Farce From Drayton Entertainment’s It Runs In The Family

A Family Matters Farce From Drayton Entertainment’s It Runs In The Family

This summer, Drayton Entertainment’s It Runs In The Family will have you running to the Drayton Festival Theatre to see this British Farce.  It is a relief from the heat by being set at Christmastime, a time when the hospital has a lot of hustle bustle going on.  Not only are the characters in this show dealing with patients, a seminar and the hospital’s annual Christmas panto, one doctor is dealing with the news that he fathered a child 18 years ago.  After receiving the news that his affair with a nurse has made him an instant Dad to an emotionally unstable son, he also learns that the boy is searching the hospital halls for him.  In order to keep his past indiscretions under wraps while preparing for the biggest speech of his career, he enlists the help of a longtime friend and fellow doctor help to cover up what is going on.  As the play unfolds, the stories they tell the hospital staff, family members and even the police sergeant get stretched, and the plot thickens as each character gets involved.

Parents’ Nigh Out

We think this comedy would make a great Parents’ Night Out.  You will be beside yourself with the facetious wit, sarcastic remarks, comedic prat falls and slapstick humour that happens throughout the show.  Just like Drayton Entertainment’s farce Run For Your Wife, this year’s It Runs In The Family will help you see the funny side of family matters.

It Runs in the Family is on stage at the Drayton Festival Theatre through August 6. Tickets are $44 for Adults and $26 for Youth under 20 years of age. Tickets for groups of 20 or more are $36. HST is applicable to all ticket prices.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.draytonentertainment.com, in person at any Drayton Entertainment Box Office, or by calling toll free 1-855-DRAYTON (372-9866).

Drayton Entertainment Gets Four Friends Tee'd Off In Norm Foster's The Men's Foursome

The stage is set when four friends grab their golf gear and head to the golf course the day after their University Reunion.  What starts off as a great morning for golf turns, into a group of "tee'd off" fellas as the day's play goes on.

Each of the players in the foursome start golf game off with light-hearted chatter about work and family and soon the topic of a wager on each hole comes up.  What starts as a friendly bet quickly, escalates to a hole by hole gamble and as the stakes get higher the conversations get more heated in this Norm Foster play.  The subjects of young love, divorce, conception, family life and possible addiction come to the forefront with this foursome but each topic is met with quick witted banter and the ability to call each other's bluffs in the bluffs.  From the front nine to the back nine you will begin to understand why these 4 men found each other in University but need each other later on in life.

Whether or not your consider yourself a golfer we suggest that you "bump and run" your way to the Drayton Entertainment's St Jacobs Country Playhouse to see The Men's Foursome

Regular performance tickets are $44.00 for adults; $26.00 for youth under 20 years of age. Tickets for groups of 20 or more are $36.00. HST is applicable to all ticket prices.
The Men’s Foursome runs July 13 to July 29.  Tickets may be purchased in person at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse, online at www.stjacobscountryplayhouse.com or by calling the Box Office at (519) 747-7788 or toll free at 1-855-drayton (372-9866).
