What Is Open Canada Day July 1st Near Kitchener Waterloo Ontario

Wondering What's Open On Canada Day?

BUT what about sometimes you need to get some last minute things!  Here's a list of places open on Canada Day July 1 2013

  • Herrles Market There you will find a great marketplace with a local food flare.  Their Pick Your Own Strawberry patch will also be open July 1st and there is an outdoor play area for the kids!  For more info visit the Herrles Market website
  • St. Jacobs The Village of St. Jacobs shops will be open. Take a look at the St Jacobs website for more info
  • St Jacobs Outlet Mall The St Jacobs Outlet mall is open from 10am-5pm. You can see all their Holiday Hours listed on their information page
  • Shoppers Drug Mart Most Shoppers Drug Mart locations are open on Canada Day. The ones that offer grocery items can be very helpful in a pinch
  • M&M Meats Many locations of M&M Meats will be open July 1st. Check out their listings to find out if there's one near you open on Canada Day. If you're going make sure to grab the FREE HAMBURGER BUNS coupon (with burger purchase) from the ONLINE COUPONS FOR CANADIANS Pinterest board 
Also most Movie Theatres, variety stores, coffee shops, restaurants, GRCA parks, public splash pads and public OUTDOOR pools are open Canada Day. Same with most amusement centres like Bingemans, Bowling Alleys, Chuck E Cheese and LaserQuest. Movie Night - Spiderman

Shade's Mills Conservation Area, 450 Avenue Rd., Cambridge
Come watch movies under the stars starting at dusk every Friday night! The food concession will be open and offering snacks and drinks. Visitors should bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit in front of the big screen. Movies are all rated parental guidance (PG) or general admission (G) and are suitable for families. The movies are free for season pass holders and day pass holders. Or, up to six people in a vehicle can gain admission for a special flat fee of $10 on Friday nights starting an hour before show time. Cancellations will be posted on Facebook and Twitter.
Time: 8:45 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.
Price: Free with admission or $10.00 per vehicle

I received a notice about
Lego Robotics Camp we are running this summer for children age 9 to 14. It will be running during the week of August 5th - 9th and August 19th-23rd at Knox Church in Waterloo. Our camp differs from most camps in that we are putting most of our focus on the exciting world of lego robotics.

Our first annual Farmers Picnic is being held at Steckle Heritage Farm in
Kitchener on Wednesday, June 12th 2013, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. This fun family focused event is to engage the community in good old fashion fun while raising funds to support our annual animal care costs, as well our new demonstration garden beds.
Our Farmers Picnic has family (two adults, and two children) tickets available to pre-purchase online via our website, for $25 for our ‘Friends of the Farm’ cardholders, and $30 for the general public. Individual and additional tickets are $10 per adult, and $5 per child.

The Laurel Creek Citizens Working Group is hosting a Community Planting event on Saturday, June 8 around Eastbridge Pond. Drop in between 9 a.m. - noon and help plant 200 native shrubs and 100 wildflowers around the shoreline. Vegetation on the banks helps to improve water quality and provides habitat for wildlife!

The city provides hand tools, gloves and refreshments. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear. A parent or guardian must supervise their child under the age of 18.

Movie Night - Spiderman

Shade's Mills Conservation Area, 450 Avenue Rd., Cambridge
Come watch movies under the stars starting at dusk every Friday night! The food concession will be open and offering snacks and drinks. Visitors should bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit in front of the big screen. Movies are all rated parental guidance (PG) or general admission (G) and are suitable for families. The movies are free for season pass holders and day pass holders.
