Every year we get a kick out of the Tonight Show’s 12 Days of Christmas Sweaters. If you are not familiar with it, watch the video below and giggle along with us.

This year we have partnered with a variety of places to bring you our newest contest

The giveaways will vary from family-friendly activities to Parents’ Night Out tickets.  Each giveaway will have a milestone that must be reached before it goes live.  They will be listed on our social channels

Glow Toronto (about an hour from Kitchener Waterloo)

Begins Nov 29 (various dates and times until Dec 8)
Walk of Lights this Christmas at K-W Christian Fellowship. During this FREE 20 minute tour, view the tallest Christmas tree in the city and walk through the 6000 light dome that opens unto various live scenes of Christmas. Have your children talk to the shepherds and pet the sheep. The Walk of Lights ends by opening unto a live Nativity Scene with an angelic choir.

Letters to Santa at Kitchener Market
We are happy to be a drop off location for letters to Santa. Use our special Santa mailbox and your child will get to see their name on Santa's nice list (only first names will be used, for privacy). The mailbox can be found at the Market's office window (near The Caribbean Kitchen) and the 'Nice List' will be located near the Marketplace. Letters will be accepted until Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Wonders of Winter
Opening night
Wonders of Winter kicks off its 2019 season on Saturday, 30 November at 5:30pm, with fireworks and trolley rides. Join us for the “throwing of the switch”!
Parking is tight, so consider taking the ION right to our entrance gates off Seagram Drive; there is a station in Waterloo Park. Wander up to the Park Inn, where the festivities will be happening.  Info at  Wonders of Winter continues until New Year’s Eve at Waterloo Park.

Skate with Santa @ Cambridge Centre Arena
Jolly old St. Nick will join us again for our annual Skate With Santa.  Santa will strap on his skates and hop on the ice from 6:10pm-7:30pm on Thursday December 5, 2019.

*Maximulm capacity of 200 skaters, arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Sing along to holiday music with the Suzuki Talent Education of Waterloo group happening just outside the Marketplace. Accepting donations to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region.

Intensely Irish Dancers @ Kitchener Market
Sure to delight and entertain everyone with traditional Irish dancing set to holiday music.  Performing on the upper level of the market, this group of local dancers will get you in the festive spirit! 

Mark your calendar for Star’s Winter Open House on Saturday, December 7th.
Morning classes will run normally, and open house attendees are welcome to join in for free throughout the event.
Santa will be in the studio from 9:45 to 11:45am.
There will be minute-to-win-it style games and activities as well... AND A HOT CHOCOLATE BAR‼️🍫🥛☕️

Join us at Elmira Pentecostal Assembly for our Annual Live Outdoor Christmas Pageant.  Come and enjoy the Christmas story with live animals and a full cast.   Please dress appropriately for this outdoor event.  Parking available at Foodland and PIB across the street from the church. The Waterloo County Teachers’ Choir (WCTC) invites you to "Celebrate the Season", on Wednesday December 11th at 7:30pm, at Benton Street Baptist Church.

Our 100-voice choir will present a captivating evening of choral music, ranging from 15th century poems through to modern carols.  WCTC is directed by Jane Schultz-Janzen and accompanied by Michel Allard, and for this special night will be joined by several guest instrumentalists.

A modern twist on caroling, all ages can enjoy walking through downtown Cambridge with thousands of participants. To add to the event, download the music for free to your phone and bring your portal speaker or borrow one of ours! 
The walk starts in Civic Square at 7 p.m.

Elora Grinch Display
26th year of Sue and Gerald's Grinch display. The Grinch this year will be out making trouble every night from December 17th to December 24th from 6pm to 9pm. 🎅🤶

For those of us that are just joining this year (I'm sure you've heard the stories and are super excited!), the Grinch display is a heart warming collection of decorations, the original animated movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas projected on the big screen, and the Grinch himself. This display is put on by Sue and Gerald Benham, with the help of friends and family. Are you looking for something to do to create some wonderful memories with your family? Perhaps a cute Insta moment? This is it!

This year we are please asking people (if possible) to make the environmentally friendly decision to park somewhere close, bundle up, and walk over.

This event is completely FREE for you to enjoy! It is put on in true Christmas spirit that we hope you have a great time. Please no donations - just be kind to each other

Baking Class at #KitchenerMarket – Christmas Morning Pastries – Enter to Win

‘Tis the season to get baking.  This year the Kitchener Market has added a new seasonal baking class to help you get set for Christmas Morning! Can you almost smell the cinnamon and sugar? How about the warm feeling of baking something for that magical time of year? Now imagine how impressed your family will be with a selection of pastries to celebrate the day.

Enjoy an evening of demos, baking and tasting the variety of treats to kick off your Christmas morning. Each participant will leave with 4-6 of each pastry to share with friends and family over the holidays. Wine and cheese will be served.
