Drayton Entertainment Brings Disney Two Ways In Two Plays

Drayton Entertainment's Winter Season

For the last few months we have been letting everyone know about Drayton Entertainment's Productions of Snow White and The Little Mermaid and that they would be coming to the Kitchener Waterloo area.  Last week we had the opportunity to attend both productions and from what we are hearing there is not a lot of time left to grab tickets!
While both of these performances stem from the magic of Disney, they are very different theatre productions.

Snow White : A Panto

For those not familiar with a panto, it is an interactive production where the narrator and the characters include the audience in the show. This performance Snow White follows the traditional Brothers Grimn fable with several modern twists.  The prince becomes Prince Justin of Timberlake and we meet a nurse as Snow White's companion, along with a "Blues" Fairy. While this does not have the Disney stamp on it, be sure to look for some Disney Princesses making a cameo appearance. This production will be enjoyed by both children and parents alike. Look for songs that both the kids and adults will recognize along with current event references (can we say LRT?).

Did you see Footloose: The Musical? Then you may just recognize the actress starring in the role of Snow White.

Disney's The Little Mermaid

Traditional musical lovers will delight in the vibrant production of The Little Mermaid.  Complete with colourful ocean scenery and that magical voice that can only belong to Ariel.  This Hans Christan Anderson tale is in full blown Disney mode with stage becoming the sea, and the talented cast bringing all the animated characters to life. With calypso sounding tunes and mermaid sopranos singing their sirens songs, this musical will have your singing in your seats and quite possibly all the way home!

As mentioned above tickets are going fast for these two productions. We suggest you start a family winter tradition and see a Drayton Entertainment family theatre play!

Looking for a great Christmas Gift idea? Why not purchase tickets for the family to see Drayton Entertainment's Wizard Of Oz over March Break? Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow (Dec 1 2014)!

Those2Girls Invade The National Women's Show - Media Coverage

Weekend Away Event Recap

Last month we were making sure you knew all about our experiences at the National Women's Show. Well we're back from the 2014 Toronto National Women's Show and we are still recouping from all the fun we had on our weekend away!

We stayed at the Renaissance Toronto Downtown Marriott Hotel, booked for us by travel expert Sheryll Donovan (let me know if you are interested in travelling and I'll connect you with her on facebook).

We requested to stay in this hotel as we had been there once before and love their service! Plus they have a great pool and hot tub area!

Off To The National Women's Show - Day 1

As mentioned in our earlier post we are Official Bloggers for the National Women's Show so we were eager to get their early Saturday morning!

We tried out a new Corolla, hit up a photo booth, taste tested lots of samples, filled our bags with great swag and Canadian coupons!

All the great energy at the event was infectious and what really put smiles on our faces? Getting to meet an all-time Toronto Blue Jays great JOE CARTER!!!!

That may seem like a full day to you, but we were just getting started! After pool area refresh it was off to see a Mirvish peformance! Be sure to read our post about THE BOOK OF MORMON.

Back To The National Women's Show - Day 2

Day 2 we visited booths that we wanted more information about and spent some time at Centre Stage to see some great speakers!

Being that we are the Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Ambassadors for Kitchener Waterloo we were very interested in hearing Julie Daniluk speak about food choices and ways to better your health.

Then it felt like we were transported back in time! Doug Davidson aka Paul from The Young And The Restless appeared on stage and there were tons of groupies! We were 2 rows away from him and managed to snag a few pics.

What's more awesome than that?
When Doug Davidson Retweets your twitter pic!!!

So as you can see had a great time covering this event! Stay tuned for more media coverage posts
