Years ago if you wanted to predict the future you had to visit a fortune teller and gaze into a crystal ball.  I don't they were ever predicting the internet, social media, smartphone apps or the act of "Googling" something.  If they did, we would have all been studying to master these skills to prior to to tech/startup boom.

This is why CST Consultants have created the #CSTLearningProject. It is preparing students for what the future holds.  While it won't be predictable, it is best to be prepared for the opportunities that the future will bring.

CST Learning Project Competition

Our friends over at CST get this. They are about to launch their annual CST Learning Project competition which funds new learning activities for children with $250,000 up for grabs. (They take the future seriously). It’s part of their cool Inspired Minds program that also includes Careers 2030—a deep dive into the possible careers our kids will have. (Robot Counsellor? Data Miner? Rewilder?)

2015 has been quite the year for me......

As many of you know my Father was diagnosed with Lung and Bone Cancer.   I have spent the last few months helping my family adjust to the diagnosis and finding out what needs to be done.  I am choosing to be very blunt about the situation and not sugar coat it.  Being a "glass is half full" type of person I struggle everyday to find the silver lining in all of this.

Additionally many of my friends have had cancer become part of their family life as well.  We all do what we can to support each other with our similar yet very different situations.  Each situation involves cancer but in various forms and everyone is dealing with different treatment options.

I look forward to the day when a cure for cancer is found.  The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is working on doing just that.

At The Princess Margaret, we believe it is the most noble and necessary quest of all — to conquer cancer in our lifetime.
