DIANE MORGAN AND LISA MCDONALD CONTINUE THE
TRADITION OF JAMIE OLIVER’S FOOD
REVOLUTION DAY IN KITCHENER WATERLOO
Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario - May 16, 2017
As of May 2014, Diane Morgan and Lisa McDonald of Those2Girls have been the
Official Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Ambassadors for the Kitchener-Waterloo
area and have kept that tradition of celebrating Food Revolution Day alive here
in KW.
In 2013 Diane and Lisa were introduced to Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution Day
by being asked by the previous Kitchener Food Revolution Ambassador to help
create a community event for the 2013 Food Revolution Day. After the success of
the 2013 event the ambassador torch was passed on to them. Food
Revolution Day is a world-wide movement that brings healthy lifestyle awareness
to all. With co-operation from The Kitchener Market, and ongoing partner
of Food Revolution KW, and several other community organizations they have
hosted several Food Revolution Day events and continue to bring awareness to
healthy events happening in the KW area. Diane and Lisa chose to continue on in these
roles of Kitchener-Waterloo Food Revolution Ambassadors to spread Jamie
Oliver's important messages of healthy food and lifestyle choices.
Jamie Oliver is also a firm believer in choosing farm market fresh food,
which makes The Kitchener Market the perfect partner for this event. This
year's event will be taking place at the Upper Marketplace in The Kitchener
Market from 10am-Noon on May 27, 2017. This free family friendly event
will feature cooking demos by local chefs, appearances by local celebrities and
several other activities taking place as well.
