Contact Lens Research
Currently the top contact lens research centre in the world is continuing to accomplish great things through research done right here at UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO
The studies are non-invasive and all of our participants are compensated at $20/hr for their time and often get free contact lenses or glasses.
Right they are recruiting 7-11 year olds to participate in a 3yr study
Infant Studies Group
If you’re looking for something new and fun to do with your child, we would love to have you participate in one of our studies! Help us discover how children learn about language and the world around them. Typical studies involve a one time, half hour visit. Come to Laurel Creek to say good bye to migrating Monarch Butterflies before their long journey to Mexico. Join the nature guide and use butterfly nets to catch monarch butterfly relatives. How do the rest of the butterfly and moth species survive the winter? We will check in the forest and fields when it is gets colder, and see who we can find. The Kitchener Rangers will host their annual Fan Fest and BBQ in support of the Children’s Wish Foundation on Sunday, September 6th, 2015 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at The Aud.
Fans have the opportunity to meet the Rangers players, enjoy a BBQ lunch and take part in a number of activities including inflatable games and rides!The Sun Life Financial Kids In Gear program were on hand to collect equipment. Those wishing to contribute new or gently used hockey equipment may click here for current drop-off locations.
Following the BBQ, the Rangers host the Mississauga Steelheads in their first exhibition game of the year.
Tickets to the game are available for a donation of $5, or $15 for a family of four.

Special kid friendly zones such as Pirates Cove (a cardboard creation zone where kids may build anything they can imagine from cardboard) or Tinker Trucks' river, a man-made mini river used to teach kids about dams and forces of nature such as erosion all while being fun and engaging.
More then that families can build and launch air rockets, learn to knit or learn how laser cutters and 3D printers operate.
One of our main events, Bot Brawl is holding a robot competition. Competitors build custom 30lb and 150lb robots and compete in a modified sumo competition using grabbing arms and flippers to toss or push their opponents out of the arena.
The Mighty Machines Showcase
A family oriented community event that brings Mighty Machines to life, providing adults and kids a chance to see construction and other service vehicles up close.

Splash'N Boots began in Kingston, Ontario in 2003. It was there, while attending Queen’s University, that Taes and Nick performed their first concert together at the local Central Library as part of a class project. During that fifteen minute show Splash'N Boots was born! Splash'N Boots continued performing in the Kingston area, and then took the leap into their first big puddle by releasing their debut album Getting our Feet Wet. Since then Splash’N Boots has received 2014 and 2015 JUNO Award Nominees for Children’s Album of the Year and have performed over 1200 shows in the last 10 years across Canada from Coast to Coast and around the worl.
