Mothers Day Tea. Saturday May 9th at 10.00 a.m.in the Upper Marketplace at the Kitchener Market.  Bring your mom to enjoy a lovely cupcake and some tea, and make a nice gift for your mom today. This is a free event with a donation to the foodbank, but you must REGISTER!!!!

The first Saturday in May is FREE COMIC BOOK Day!

 

 

 

I have always been a fan of Free Comic Book Day! It is a great day to see what is buzzing in your community.  When I first heard of Free Comic Book Day I thought it was a day that comic book stores got rid of old comic books that didn't sell. BOY WAS I WRONG!

 

 

What Is Free Comic Book Day?

Free Comic Book Day day when comic companies such as Marvel and DC Comics giveaway limited edition Comics made especially made for this yearly event.

It happens yearly on the first Saturday in May. So many comic book stores in many areas participate! Some years double the fun when that Saturday happens to be May the 4th aka Star Wars Day (May the Fourth Be With You)

 

Where Does Free Comic Book Day Take Place?

Free Comic Book Day takes place at most comic book store and some retail book stores. Check you local listings for comic book stores to see if they take part in FREE COMIC BOOK DAY.  Here in Kitchener Waterloo Area Comic Book retailers are

Rock walk with a messy ending
Rockwood Conservation Area, 2 p.m.
This will be a leisurely stroll to visit one of Rockwood's largest caves. For the adventurous, there will be the option of crawling into one of the tunnels. If you plan on participating in the cave-crawling, please bring a flashlight and wear clothing that covers your knees and elbows. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the trailer by the mini-putt. Free with park admission.

We will be showing "Dolphin Tale". Free admission, free popcorn! Bring a blanket and cuddle on the floor with your family and friends and watch the movie on the big screen.
