The KW Titans Want to Fill Up The AUD

Yesterday we attended the KW Titans Media Day and it was great to see the players getting prepped for the season.

It began with a warm-up practice and then went into a lot of drills that tested the players' offensive and defensive skills. The energy was high as the KW Titans players are getting set for their first 2023 game in Sudbury on Family Day.

Later on, the team was introduced to Media, Sponsors and Community Owners.  There was a great mix of returning and new players all eager to win this year's National Basketball League of Canada's Championship.

Fill Up The AUD

The team will be back at The AUD on March 1st for the Home Opener and when I asked them what messages they had for the fans, they were all ready to see local support.  Some of the messages were "Come see the show" "Please come out" "Bring your friends" but the response that received the best reaction was "Fill Up The AUD"

You can be part of the Home Opener by grabbing tickets! All the info is at https://www.kwtitans.com/ or if you already know the type of tickets you want, then head straight to the ticket purchase page https://kwtickets.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventList?groupCode=TITANS&linkID=cits&shopperContext=&caller=&appCode= or visit The Aud or Centre in the Square Box Office. Prices vary, but if you buy four or more, then tickets are $25 each for the bowl area.

We are so excited for the upcoming season and you can see it on all of our faces

Who are you looking forward to high-five and fist-bump on March 1st?

National Basketball League of Canada Rookie of the Year Shakwon Barrett Returns to the KW Titans for his Second NBLC Season

Last year was an exciting time for Canadian Professional Basketball Player Shakwon Barret, as he rose to the top and became the National Basketball League of Canada's 2022 Rookie of the Year.

This was the first time the KW Titans took home that award and today they announced that Shakwon has once again  signed with the team.  This makes him the first KW Titans player signed on for the 2023 season.

Shakwon is looking forward to being with his soon-to-be-announced teammates and had this message for the KW Titans Fans

I’m excited to be back in KW! Back and better for our second go around together! We have the most underrated fan base in the NBL but we are going to change that narrative this year with a special season!

The KW Titans are preparing to release tickets for the 2023 season soon.  Stay tuned to https://www.kwtitans.com

KW Titans Announce Cliff Clinkscales as the Season's Head Coach and Assistant GM

This afternoon, the KW Titans announced that Cliff Clinkscales will lead the team as Head Coach and Assistant GM for the 2023 National Basketball League of Canada season.

A post shared by Diane Morgan & Lisa McDonald (@those2girls)

KW Titans fans are already familiar with Coach Cliff's passion for the team.  He was a pivotal part of last year's coaching staff, holding the position of Assistant Coach during the return of Titans Basketball after Covid restrictions were lifted.  During that time he was also named to the National Basketball League of Canada's Top 10 Anniversary team for his contributions in prior seasons as a player in the league.

A post shared by NBL Canada (@officialnblc)

For those new to the following Kitchener-Waterloo's Professional Basketball team, Cliff Clinkscales will captivate you immediately with his enthusiasm for the team and its fans.

"I am thankful and grateful for this opportunity and am very excited to get to work. To all supporters of KW Titans, come out to cheer us on! See y’all soon" is what Coach Cliff had to say when we connected to congratulate him today.

The new NBLC season is right around the corner, and this will be one of many exciting announcements you will hear from the team. For more information about the KW Titans, visit https://www.kwtitans.com

The KW Titans are set to Set it Off with a Player Signing and a New-Look League

March 12, 2020 was the day the KW Titans stopped playing. That was the day that Covid-19 really sunk in for me.  It was later announced that the team would be taking a year off.  Now the KW Titans are poised to play in 2022 with a "new-look" league, and I couldn't be more excited.  The National Basketball League of Canada has partnered with The Basketball League for a Canada/USA season. Tickets go on sale to the General Public THIS SATURDAY, December 18th, and to kick things off, the KW Titans have signed their first player.

Tyrrel Tate has played professionally in both North America and Internationally. Learn more about Tyrrell at https://www.kwtitans.com/tate_2022/

With the first player signing in place, a new General Manager and a new Head Coach, the KW Titans are set to set it off!

Make sure to support local Professional Basketball by ordering your KW Titans tickets this weekend.

Find all the games and ticket info at https://www.kwtitans.com/games/

Looking forward to seeing you there!
