12 Days of Christmas Giveaways – Santa Trains from Waterloo Central Railway

This time of year, the elves are busy tuning up Santa’s sleigh for the big night, so Santa has opted for a different mode of transportation.  Over the next few weekends leading up to Christmas you can find Santa Claus riding the rails with some help from his friends at the Waterloo Central Railway.
As listed on the website….
Enjoy an exciting train ride with Santa and his helpers before he has to head back to the North Pole to load the sleigh with toys for his adventure on Christmas Eve.
That sounds like an amazing trip.  Even our poll participants agree that they would like to see Santa on a Train! Now is the time to book your Santa Train ride as tickets are going fast and some of the allotted times are almost booked up.

  1. This would be an amazing opportunity for me and my three kiddos to do something special together to celebrate the holidays!!! Our family tradition is to decorate the tree together. We put on Christmas music, I put on the lights and the boys decorate putting on all the special ornaments they have made over the years along with all the ones nana gives them each year while we Sing along with the Christmas carols. I talk about how their Uncle Kirby loved Christmas and we called him Mr. Christmas as a way to keep his memory alive with us during the holidays since he passed away before the kids were born and they love hearing about him as a way to get to know him.

  2. One of our favourite traditions is going to both Waterloo Park and Victoria Park to see the Christmas lights. Our kids love walking around in the snow admiring all of the lights. Afterwards, at home we will have snacks and watch the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

  8. As my kids get older, some of the traditional Christmas activities we've done have slowed. In an effort to make Christmas last longer than 20 insane minutes Christmas Morning I had to start coming up with really fun distractions. One year was mini nerf guns in their stockings on their beds. But my most successful idea, was silly string! My children now spend Christmas Eve with their Dad and come home ChristmasDay. They more excited to walk in this door, drop their treasures, and run up to their stockings for that silly string then anything else under the tree! Yes it's messy, but so easy to clean up, and so worth it. And I'll take every second I get thanks

  16. This will be our second Christmas here in Canada. Here, we experienced white Christmas. It's a new exciting experience, as we came from a tropical country. Back in the Philippines which may be tagged as the Christmas capital of the world, you can feel the Christmas season when the "ber" months begin as you can hear Christmas songs everywhere. People starts to place their bright lanterns, Christmas lights and some put their Christmas trees after All Saint's Day (Nov 1). On Christmas Eve, we exchange gifts with family and relatives, then we enjoy the "noche buena" after our thanksgiving prayer. On Christmas day, we attend church mass then go back home to wait for our godchildren and kids (from all walks of life) to give them gifts. It's kinda tiring but we enjoy much when kids (more than a hundred) visit us. We just like seeing the smiles on their faces and the joy that they feel. Here in Canada, it's a different experience but we are having fun. On our first Christmas here, we went to Victoria Park and Waterloo Park to see the amazing lights. We also went to the church. We had our "noche buena" and exchanged gifts. Somehow, it's sad since we had no relatives here but gained new friends. That, we are very grateful.
