With Winterloo changing dates and the cancellation of the MS Movie Morning this year, Family Day in Kitchener Waterloo will look a lot different for many families.  Not to worry! We have compiled a list of family-friendly events and activites happening on Monday February 15, 2016

Bring On The Sunshine Family Day Festival
Bring on the Sunshine Family day Festival, celebrating Africa, Culture, community and Family during Black History Month and share in the riches of all of our African cultures with Canadians of every origin!
February 15th, 2016 at
Kitchener City hall, 200 King St W in Kitchener
from 10 am to 6pm
Stage starts at 11 am but doors open at 10.

Family Hack Jam @ THEMUSEUM, 10am-4pm
Join Year of Code Waterloo Region and other awesome local organizations for the 5th Hive Waterloo Family Hack Jam on Family Day at THEMUSEUM! Play coding games, tinker with littleBits, make a family tree, check out maker stations and more...
The regular entrance fee has been reduced to $8.95 just for the day.
10am Family Hack Jam kicks off!

Family Day At Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery
Monday, 15 February | Drop-in 1 – 4 pm
All ages welcome | Activities designed for ages 4 – 12 + adult companion
A fun-filled annual celebration for the entire family with activities that kids and kids-at-heart can do together. Explore the exhibitions, make spectacular artwork of your own, listen in on tales told by Kitchener Public Library storytellers, and participate in dramatic play and games.

9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Visit us on Family Day Weekend and explore our newest exhibit called In The Dark! Be immersed in a world of darkness! Visitors of all ages can explore life that exists on our planet with little or no light.
Bring the entire family and take part in fun activities throughout the day.
Explore the mysteries of darkness through electronic, mechanical and computer interactive activities in the exhibit.
Included with regular admission.

Outdoor Survival And Tracking Skills
Time 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
At this time of year there are stories written in the snow, and we can learn to read them.
Join us for outdoor games and activities that teach the elements of tracking, as well as what these skills mean for winter survival and daily interactions with our animal neighbours.
I'm guessing regular admission would apply

Want to try curling?
Now is your chance! For just $10, you’ll get one hour on the ice with our instructors in a small group, and get a chance to throw a few rocks and try some sweeping. It’s fun, it’s easy, and you’re going to love it!

THEMUSEUM will be open from 10:00am to 5:00pm, and offer special discounted pricing. General admission will be $8.95+HST for all visitors ages 3 and up, and our 570 News Family Pass (valid for 2 adults, 2 children) will be $29.95+HST.
B @ THEMUSEUM, located at the front of THEMUSEUM, will also be open from 10:00am to 5:00pm with special food and beverage promotions. Every purchased kid's meal will receive a free ice cream dessert, and they will als be offering select $5 pints.

Pinehurst Lake Family Ice Fishing Day
Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area, 468 Pinehurst Rd., Ayr
Invite your family and friends to join you for a day of ice fishing on Pinehurst Lake. This event is open to everyone from first-time anglers to seasoned ice fisherman. Equipment and bait will be available for new anglers, but there is a limited supply. There are numerous draw prizes and you will have a chance to win just for entering. This is a catch-and-release event, with prizes drawn at 2:30 pm. A fishing license is not required by Canadian residents during the event because it is being held on license-free Family Fishing Weekend. Hot drinks and food will be available.

Winter Family Fun Day - Rockwood Conservation Area

$9 per person per game. Reservations are recommended. What should you do with your family on Family Day? Tag them with lasers!

Kitchener, ON, March 26, 2016: On Easter Saturday, a group of Conestoga College Business Students will fundraise for Lisaard and Innisfree House, which offers comfort, care and closure to patients and their loved ones through the end-of-life journey. The students will be selling “forget-me-not” plant seeds and seedlings grown in egg shells, join us for free candy, and enjoy a morning at the Kitchener Market.
