Movie Night - Brave
Shade's Mills Conservation Area, 450 Avenue Rd., Cambridge
Come watch movies under the stars starting at dusk every Friday night! The food concession will be open and offering snacks and drinks. Visitors should bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit in front of the big screen. Movies are all rated parental guidance (PG) or general admission (G) and are suitable for families. The movies are free for season pass holders and day pass holders. Or, up to six people in a vehicle can gain admission for a special flat fee of $10 on Friday nights starting an hour before show time. Cancellations will be posted on

Saturday, August 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. everyone is invited to Market Square in downtown Guelph to celebrate John Galt Day.

  • Herrles Market There you will find a great marketplace with a local food flare.  There is an outdoor play area for the kids! For more info visit the Herrles Market website
  • St. Jacobs The Village of St. Jacobs shops will be open. Take a look at the St Jacobs website for more info
  • St Jacobs Outlet Mall The St Jacobs Outlet mall is open from 10am-5pm. You can see all their Holiday Hours listed on their information page
  • Shoppers Drug Mart Most Shoppers Drug Mart locations are open for the Civic Holiday. The ones that offer grocery items can be very helpful in a pinch
Because it is not a Statutory Holiday, many places are open. I suggest calling ahead just to be sure

Lego Robotics Camp we are running this summer for children age 9 to 14. It will be running during the week of August 5th - 9th and August 19th-23rd at Knox Church in Waterloo. Our camp differs from most camps in that we are putting most of our focus on the exciting world of lego robotics.
Full day camp for a week is $250 plus tax. Includes a free t-shirt. http://brickworksacademy.com/
