Hanging Out With The Harlem Globetrotters

I was a 70's kid and loved all things Harlem Globetrotters. I watched their cartoons, their TV specials and appearances on other shows.  They were big in the disco era but I had no idea the team had started many decades earlier. When PTPA announced that they were participaiting in Harlem Globetrotters Fans Rule Tour I knew it would be a slam dunk.

Before the game we had the opportunity to attend a Globetrotters Meet and Greet. I took the opportunity to take a pic of Diane's family while we waited courtside for our turn.

Then we were taken behind the scenes for this green screen photo with two Globetrotter Teamates.

Game On!

We were in our seats by Game Time and let me tell you they put on quite a show! There were spins, dunks, trick shot and more! You don’t have to know anything about basketball to love the Globetrotters. They are letting fans vote on new rules of the game this year – and you don’t have to be a sports fans to participate. Before you go to a game, head to and pick the rule you and your kids want to see in your game.

There was lots of fun throughout the game too. There were dance competitions, appearances by mascots Globie, Big G, and Little G and of course lots of Harlem Globetrotters hoop hijinks!
