As many of you know I often talk about what a wonderful gem Herrles Market is in our community. When young Lydia Herrle was involved in the Erb Rd accident last week and rushed to Sick Kids hospital, a community came together to support the Herrle Family.

Kinsman Carnival is happening in Cambridge right now (Thursday - Sunday) at Riverside Park. Admission is free, and ride tickets can be purchased there. There are games run by the midway, but also a number of good games for kids run by the Kinsmen themselves helping them to raise money.

Star Wars Day, Free Comic Book Day and other Family Activities

Two of my Favorite Days are happening BACK TO BACK this year!
Star Wars Day ( May the Fourth Be With You) & Free Comic Book Day!

May 4th is also Cinco de Mayo & there is a celebration at Kitchener City Hall from 11:30am-1:30pm

Saturday May 5th

 Cinco de Mayo celebration heads up to the Kitchener Market
Kitchener Market will have Latin cultural activities for the whole family, including a mariachi band and cultural crafts by Crystal and Liam of Trash Theatre. There will also be cooking classes for children and adults, featuring Mexican menu items. Live entertainment starts at 10 a.m.

Also on Saturday
Doors open at noon on Saturday, May 5 at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex, and festivities continue until 8:00 pm. Entry to the event is $4This festival celebrates the Polish culture and contributions to the community, while giving the local Polish-Canadians an opportunity to thank Waterloo Region — for the first time a portion of the proceeds will be supporting the Grand River Hospital Paediatric Unit.
