    10am-3pm HockeyTown returns to downtown Kitchener! This year the event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22.
    Civic Square will turn into a hub of hockey activities as the NHL stars of tomorrow from Kitchener Minor Hockey (tyke players) teams compete for the Mayor's Cup..
    The event will also feature sports memorabilia, interactive games and educational opportunities. Special guest confirmed for this years event will be artist Michael Slotwinkski who will display his goalie mask art work inside the rotunda.
    Children will also have the opportunity to create their own goalie mask designs at the event.

    Where To Volunteer In Kitchener Waterloo

    Volunteering Opportunities



    I get many parents contacting me regarding places for their Teens to volunteer for their required high school hours.  Many don't realize that there are so many opportunities to volunteer in Kitchener Waterloo.  I always ask what are they interested in and what career path are they hoping to get in to?

    Volunteering is a great way to get a behind the scenes look at how operations work.  If they have an interest in Sports, Television, Health Sector, Child Studies, Senior Care, Environmental, Arts (and so many other fields) there are a variety of places they can volunteer to gain experience and get involved in our Community!  Here is some great places to start for teens and for yourself and/or other family members as well.
