Celebrate Family Literacy Day at KPL!
January 27th is Family Literacy Day across Canada.
Because we love reading so much, KPL is celebrating the entire month of January! Starting January 3rd, you can participate in our Family Literacy Read-a-thon.
After you have read a book together as a family (at bedtime, at the library or wherever you like to read), visit any KPL library branch. Write your family’s name and the title of the book you read on a paper snowman and post it on the Read-a-thon bulletin board. Let’s watch our snowman families grow and see how many books KPL families can read in one month. Do you think it will be 100? 1,000? 10,000? Who knows?

Get reading! We’ll wrap up the Read-a-thon with a Family Celebration on January 22nd. There will be stories, songs, and lots more fun! This program is open to children of all ages.
