12 Days of Christmas Giveaways – Kids Cooking from Scratch Cookbook



Many of our readers know that we encourage family cooking through our Food Revolution KW events.  It is a great way to connect with one another while keeping tabs on the food choices your family members are making.  Sometimes it can be difficult to find recipes that are age-appropriate for everyone at your house, so that is where Kids Cooking from Scratch comes in.

Kids Cooking from Scratch

The Kids Cooking from Scratch cookbook contains recipes by kids.  They are healthy ideas that your family can enjoy preparing together.  This culinary creations by kids can be fun ways to explore new foods together and encourage nutritious choices.

We think that there are lots of ways to encourage kids to get cooking.  Every household is different so try a few to see what works.

Kids from eight to 10 years of age can take over the Marketplace at the Kitchener Market for an interactive cooking camp! Stir it Up will be taught by Stephanie Clairmont, a Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Coach.
Before and after class supervision available. The classes are hands-on, so participants should expect to roll up their sleeves and get messy. Families are encouraged to register early, as spaces are expected to fill up quickly

Kitchener Market will have Latin cultural activities for the whole family, including a mariachi band and cultural crafts by Crystal and Liam of Trash Theatre. There will also be cooking classes for children and adults, featuring Mexican menu items. Live entertainment starts at 10 a.m.
