Safety Tree Aims to Better Kids Mental Health Through Mindfulness – Enter to Win

We'll start with the Disclaimer - Yes this is a sponsored post, but this just means we're able to offer you a chance to win a free First Aid Kit from Safety Tree! Enter the contest at the end of this post

The transition for back to school can be a challenging one for some families.  With the addition of dull rainy days and chilly temps, the fall season can be difficult at times.  Thankfully our friends at Safety Tree have introduced some new courses to inspire young kids and teens. Beginning in November they are offering Mindfulness courses to assist them with various situations and promote well-being.

Busy school and life schedules can be overwhelming and a source of fear and anxiety for kids. Transitioning from one classroom subject or activity to another, shuffling from school to swimming lessons to dinner to homework can leave little time for kids to enjoy their lives or be mindful of their surroundings.

Setting Up for Success with Mindfulness
Each 90-minute Safety Tree session will tackle a variety of subjects to teach children how to be mindful which in turn sets them on the road to improved mental health.
The topics covered in each class will help children be mindful of situations that can cause stress and anxiety.  By learning the techniques taught in these courses, they will be able to keep much calmer and learn to be present.

According to Safety Tree, children taking these courses will benefit from:

  • Stress Relief
  • Enhanced Concentration
  • Boosted self-confidence
  • Renewed focus
  • Improved social skills
  • Increased self-regulation

Having these skills to call on during times of need can make a big difference and set a child up for success. Being the Movember KW Co-chairs we raise awareness for Mental Health and think this initiative from Safety Tree could be a great addition to our community.

Registration Information
The Mindful Kids course is for children 6 to 10 years of age. Registration for Mindful Kids can be found at
The Mindful Teens course is for children 11 to 14 years of age. Registration for Mindful Teens can be found at
Additionally, Safety Tree is giving away a Safety Tree First Aid kit to one of our readers.
Enter the rafflecopter contest below (it may take a minute to load) and tell us how you can be mindful. (NOTE when commenting below it is best to be logged into your google account.
