ONGOING EVENTS

Looking for new things to do with your child? Do you think your child would enjoy participating in science? If your child is between the ages of 3-7, they are eligible to sign-up for an online study with researchers at the University of Waterloo. Participation is free and the studies are quite fun for children! Children get a certificate at the end and a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card. Kitchener Market Virtual Easter Celebration LIMITED SPOTS available (kit pick up April 1)

This kit has everything you need to celebrate Easter by making bunny cupcakes and decorating eggs! The kits include the supplies you need to participate in the live Kids in the Kitchen video which will be streamed on April 3 from 10 - 11 A.M. on the City of Kitchener's Facebook page.

 Kits can be picked up from the Kitchener Market on Thursday April 1 from 4 - 6 P.M. Just drive down the ramp on Eby Street into the covered parking lot, park at the curbside pick up sign and a staff member will assist you!

Online Magic Show and Fundraiser for Food4Kids Waterloo Region

Get ready for a thrilling night of all things magic! 

Second-year students from Conestoga College’s Bachelor of Public Relations program are the hosts behind Magic Matters, a virtual magic show with 100% of ticket sales and donations going towards the amazing acts of local charity, Food4Kids Waterloo Region. Food4Kids Waterloo Region works alongside daily nutrition programs in elementary schools to identify gaps in children’s access to food and makes sure that no child in our community goes hungry during the 84 days of school breaks and the 40 weekends of the school year. Food4Kids Waterloo Region helps over 700 children in our region each year. With our support, we hope to meet the needs of the over 2,500 children in the Waterloo Region who experience hunger. 

This one-hour, interactive and entertaining show is on April 10th, 6-7 pm, right in the comfort of your home! Tailored toward children, the show welcomes the entire family! 

Enjoy a night filled with laughs while interacting and learning magic from our magician Scott Dietrich. Scott is voted Toronto and the GTA’s best children’s entertainer for eight consecutive years by City Parent Magazine readers.

March Break Camp - Kids In The Kitchen At Kitchener Market

Kids from 7 to 12 years of age take over the Marketplace at the Kitchener Market for an interactive cooking camp - Kids in the Kitchen Camp!
In this fun, hands-on camp participants should expect to roll up their sleeves and get messy! Let our leaders and chefs teach your little chefs about basic cooking and nutrition as well as breaks with crafts and other entertaining and educational activities.
