12 Days of Christmas Giveaways – Sonshine and Broccoli’s Hug Life

Finding age-appropriate songs for kids can be a challenge, but this year Sonshine and Broccoli have just the thing. Their new album Hug Life is musical journey of entertaining songs mixed in modern themes that children can learn about through song.  Each tune is kid-friendly and gives a lot of information to children.

The album Hug Life contains a dozen songs for families to listen and learn together.

One such song teaches kids to be a Buddy Not A Bully.  This song tackles the issue from both sides.  It teaches kids to tell someone if they are being bullied, but it also gives ideas of what to do with emotions of anger and frustration.  This is just one of the many songs your kids can enjoy on the Hug Life album.  Of course, being basketball fans, we really like the Slam Dunk song too!

Looking Ahead to 2020 at the Kitchener Market

Every Saturday morning the Kitchener Farmer’s Market on the lower level fills with shoppers looking for locally produced food and the upper level has local artisans and small business start-ups. From Tuesday to Saturday the Upper Level Food Hall is open for Breakfast and Lunch plus there are events for kids on select Tuesdays and Saturdays, as well as every Thursday. There are so many things happening at the Kitchener Market and what we are looking forward to the return of the International Cooking Classes in the Upper Marketplace Kitchen.  We have learned so many skills and been inspired by these events and hope you will come and experience them as well.

Parents’ Night Out

The International Cooking Classes at Kitchener Market make for great Parents’ Night Out events.  It combines the fun of going out for a dinner along with a shared learning experience.  See how skilled Diane became after attending the cooking classes at Kitchener Market.

Keep watch of the Event Calendar to see when the next round of cooking classes begins.  They fill up fast, so if you see something that interests you, then we suggest you register right away as space is limited for each class. The cooking classes start are 6:30pm and are approximately two hours in length.
