Looking for new things to do with your child? Do you think your child would enjoy participating in science? If your child is between the ages of 3-7, they are eligible to sign-up for an online study with researchers at the University of Waterloo. Participation is free and the studies are quite fun for children! Children get a certificate at the end and a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card. Aboard the North Star Experience Train @ Conestoga Mall

This immersive 3D sound and light show (lasting about 10 minutes) will be an unforgettable family experience. Taking your seat on the train and looking out the window, you will be immersed in a whole new world full of magnificent scenery…

Uptown Tree Lighting

On Friday, December 3rd at 7:00 p.m., join Santa, Mayor Jaworsky, Ward 7 Councillor Bonoguore, Emcee Angie Hill and the BIA for the annual Holiday Tree lighting ceremony at Waterloo Public Square. Also included is live music by the band “Just Fine.” Masks and physical distancing for the event are encouraged. VIRTUAL STORYTIME WITH SANTA
Join Santa for a festive virtual visit on December 11th at 10:45 am. Santa invites you to join the fun as he tells stories and leads holiday singalongs. Get the milk and cookies ready and be part of the holiday magic.

Do you have questions for Santa? He’ll be coming prepared to answer them. His helpful Elf will guide us along with all of your questions, just like Rudolph guides Santa’s sleigh!

One Day Outdoor In-person Market in Cambridge

For those who enjoy an onsite shopping experience, the Cambridge Christmas Market will have a one-day, outdoor event outside City Hall (50 Dickson St) on Saturday, Dec. 11, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The outdoor market will also feature live entertainment and food trucks. Residents attending the in-person market are reminded to follow all public heath guidelines and shop safely.

to welcome in the new year 

New Year's Skate in Cambridge
4-8pm at 640 Ellis Rd 
The family-favourite New Year’s Eve skate is back and will be offering in-person skating. Skating will run on two rinks and will include one family friendly rink and a rink with dimmed lighting and top 40 music.
