Pysanky (Ukranian Easter Egg) Workshop

Tots Time Workshop: Decorate an Easter Plate @ Waterloo Region Museum (DOON)
10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Children will decorate an Easter plate in this fun workshop!
This will be the perfect plate to leave out for the Bunny stopping by your house this year.
Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Appropriate for children aged two to six. $9 plus HST per child. Advance registration is required. Capacity limited. 10 percent membership discount applies.

Easter Egg Hunt @ Steckle Farm
Easter is coming EARLY this year!
Save the date for Good Friday – March 25th! We’re pleased to offer two hunts again this year.. from 9:30 to 11:30, and from 12:30 to 2:30.
Mark your calendars for March 4th, when tickets go on sale to the public. Our Friends of the Farm will have a link emailed to them a day earlier, on March 3rd.
Children aged 1 to 12 are $10 each, and as always, will be grouped according to age!

Easter Festival @ Springridge Farm (near Milton)
2016 Dates: Good Friday March 25, Saturday March 26 and Sunday Match 27, 10am-4pm
We expect Good Friday to be very busy, so please consider attending Saturday or Sunday or arriving early in the day.
Admission for Easter Festival: $12.00 per person, ages 2-92
There is no admission charge to visit the barn market, bakery & gift shop.

Easter Bunny Train will run on Saturday, March 26, 2016 Mr. Bunny will join his friends on board the train and visit children at their seats. While the train travels from the Market to the Village. Mr. Bunny will visit some passengers when the train continues its trip north beyond the Village of St. Jacobs. Tickets may be purchased online through the online ticket window or in person at our Market Station on Saturday, March, 26. Market Station is located in the northeastern corner of the St. Jacobs Market property. The Market Station will only be open on operating days.

Egg Dying and Rolling @ McDougall Cottage Cambridge
Drop-in from 1 to 4 p.m.
Bring your clan down to McDougall Cottage for some egg-ceptionally good fun. Kids can dye and decorate some of their own eggs using our home-made all natural vegetable dyes. Admission by cash donation.
We'll be showing how eggs were dyed in the good ol’ days, using onion skins. Afterward, everyone is invited to join us in the Cottage’s back yard for a good old fashioned egg rolling race - just like they do at the White House. There will be Easter treats for all kids that come by.

  1. Lisa, I am from Kitchener / Waterloo and I have been blogging since 2006. I have known your blog for a long time already and I come to check it out regularly.

    Having said that, my brother is visiting us from Argentina along with his 6 year old girl and I cannot thank you enough for all the information we have obtained here!

    I have now pretty much planned every day until they go back home and with the only exception of tomorrow's trip to Toronto, the information about every activity we are going to do has come from here. My kids are older, so I hadn't realized what a great resource this blog is for younger parents with younger kids until now. Keep up the great work!

  2. I am disappointed to see that the tickets for Easter Egg Hunt @ Steckle Farm went on sale march 1st NOT march 4th as you have listed on your page. Looks like we are gonna miss out this year :(
