Not able to stay up until midnight? Join us for our children’s New Year’s Eve party! We will be ringing in the New Year in style, with fun games, crafts, snacks and dancing!

Looking for something to do with the kids during the Christmas holidays? Bring the whole family out for a visit to the Waterloo Region Museum and take part in the daily activities and visit the two galleries. All activities and galleries are included with general admission.

Kitchener City Hall

Join our superhero themed party and ring in the New Year with some of your favourite heroes! We have activities for superhero fans of all ages. Costumes are welcome – come dressed up as your favourite hero or villain and join in on the fun.

For the kids: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Make and take crafts (while quantities last)
- Free hot chocolate with a donation (while quantities last)
- Ice Skating on Carl Zehr Square
- Get your picture taken with superheroes like batman, bat girl, wonder woman and super girl
- Selfies with wandering cosplay characters

6 p.m. to midnight
- Toycon with toy collectible and comic book vendors
- The Brampton Batman and his Batmobile will be in the Rotunda inside City Hall
- Retro arcade games – bring your quarters
- Calling all cosplayers – come as your favourite hero or villain

Join us to celebrate a new year with some skating! The City offers wrist bands for an hour of skate time on December 31, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Only one skate time per family. Doors of the Hespler Arena, 640 Ellis Road, open at 4:45 p.m.
