Lets Go To The Ex
As summer winds down the Canadian National Exhibition heats things up! We attended the 2015 CNE last weekend and it looks like we were not the only ones. According to their latest press release attendance increased by 10 percent in 2015. We are always looking for events our readers should attend and we think deciding to Lets Go To The EX is a great choice for a #SundayFunday. What To See And Do At The CNE
Yes there is the excitement of the midway but we enjoy all the sights at the CNE. We tend to begin our day with a tram ride to get the lay of the land. Then it was time to meet with our friend Hollie aka www.CommoncentsMom.com.We always plan our day around the ICE SHOW at the Ricoh Coliseum. It is included in your admission the CNE and it is a great opportunity to see Canadian talent. This year's Bon Voyage! Aerial Acrobatic & Ice Skating Show performance featured Olympic skaters Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue. Here's just a clip of their routine.
In addition to the skating perfomances there were trampoline routines and aerial showstoppers.
We also took in this year's Art Alley exhibit all about Sherlock Holmes. The Game is Afoot: Consulting Sherlock Holmes
I was very impressed by the moustache.
Remember it's time to start your MOVEMBER page! Mine is up at mosista.co/LisaMcDonald
After that we took to the food building to fuel up for the afternoon. Our meal of choice happened to be POUTINE BALLS!
Then we headed to the Arts and Crafts area to find THE BIG BANG THEORY: The International Art Exhibit.
We decided it was time for a break so we grab some refreshments and say cheers to summer one more time as Hollie was headed to see Dallas Smith and we were headed to the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.
While we starting to make our way to the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre we noticed that the RUSH Parkour show was about to begin. We quickly grabbed a great spot and we cheered the perfomers of this great show!
Oh and I almost forgot to mention, the AIR SHOW was going on the whole time during our visit.
Off To See Amy Schumer At Oddball Fest
While the shows at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre are an additional cost, for out of towners like us it is a great opportunity to make the trip to Toronto a full day event (with only having to park once for the full day). This year we took in Funny or Die's ODDBALL COMEDY AND CURIOSTIY FESTIVAL Featuring Amy Schumer and Aziz Ansari. As you can see by the lineup we had a ton of laughs that evening!
You know what's nice? Canadians. You know what else is nice? The set times for #OddballFest in Toronto this weekend. Aw.
