Experience the Magic of Bingemans Gift of Lights: A Dazzling Holiday Tradition in Kitchener-Waterloo

Gift of Lights Shines Bright since 2016

Looking for a festive, family-friendly holiday event in the Kitchener-Waterloo region? Look no further than Bingemans Gift of Lights—Southwestern Ontario’s most spectacular drive-thru holiday light display! This annual tradition is back for the 2025 season, running from November 21, 2025, to January 3, 2026, and promises to be brighter and more magical than ever.

We still remember experiencing Gift of Lights for the first time in 2016 and have not missed a year since!

🎄 What Is Bingemans Gift of Lights?

Gift of Lights is a drive-thru holiday light experience that transforms Bingemans into a glowing wonderland. Featuring over 300 animated and static light displays, including mesmerizing light tunnels and a towering 40-foot twinkling LED tree, this event is designed to be enjoyed from the warmth and comfort of your vehicle.

Whether you're starting a new family tradition or continuing an annual one, this immersive experience is perfect for all ages. It’s a safe, accessible, and weather-proof way to celebrate the season.

🚗 Drive-Thru or Walk-Thru? You Choose!

While the main attraction is the drive-thru route, Gift of Lights also offers special Walk Only Nights—a unique opportunity to stroll through the lights on foot. These evenings are not only magical but also meaningful: 50% of ticket proceeds go to local charities such as KidsAbility, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region, and the Waterloo Region Health Network Foundation.

🗓️ Mark your calendar for these Walk Only Nights:

November 23 – Family & Children’s Services

December 8 – Waterloo Region Health Network Foundation

December 17 – The Food Bank of Waterloo Region

December 23 – Walk with Santa!

January 3 – KidsAbility

🎟️ Tickets & Packages

Tickets are available now at giftoflights.ca, with options for:

Single vehicle admission

Group and corporate packages

Special event nights

Pro tip: Book early to secure your preferred date and time—especially for Walk Only Nights, which tend to sell out quickly!

💡 Why It’s a Must-See in Kitchener-Waterloo

As highlighted in our Stuff To Do With Your Kids In Kitchener Waterloo blog for many years, Gift of Lights is more than just a light show—it’s a community celebration. The event has a long-standing partnership with Waterloo Region Health Network Foundation and other local charities, helping raise awareness and funds for local causes. It’s a shining example of how holiday cheer can bring people together for a greater good.

Infant and Child Studies group is a group of researchers interested in better understanding child cognition: so how kids learn! All our studies are designed as games for children to play while we observe how they respond to various toys, videos or sounds. The activities are fun for the kids, and help us to understand concepts like how children learn new words, when children can begin to understand math, or what learning strategies kids use to understand new concepts. We deliver studies in person, as well as online and in take home formats.
