Parents' Night Out - Comedy Fundraiser - Enter to Win ages 19+

After the success of the Comedy Fundraiser last May, it is back again in support of the Starling Children's Mental Health Centre. This ages 19+ event is perfect for a Parents' Night Out so have a drink, relax and laugh, while we raise money for Starling Children's Mental Health Centre.

This time the lineup includes:

Vinny Vinelli is a comedian, writer, actor and producer. He studied comedy at Second City in Toronto, Chicago and LA. He has performed throughout North America from famed comedy clubs like Flappers (Los Angeles) to Gotham Comedy Club (New York City). And pereformed at comedy festivals such FunnyFest (Calgary - 2024), Danforth Comedy Festival (Toronto - 2024), and many more.

Vinny also currently has two segments on MinddogTV (New York City) called Stars, Stripes and Maple Leaves and the popular Proud to be Italian series, and has co-hosted the Comedy Road podcast.

Phil Howard Pivnick is an award winning magician, and writer. His comedy magic acts have been featured at sold out shows on stages across Ontario, where he’s entertained audiences with his quick wit, fast fingers, and mind boggling illusions.

Martha Chaves is a Latin-Canadian award-winning stand-up comedian, actor, and comedy writer. Daryl Jung from Now Magazine called her “smart, sassy, provocative, and very funny.”

Her TV credits include multiple appearances in the Just For Laughs, the Winnipeg, and the We Are Funny That Way Festivals, to mention a few and her two national comedy specials, Something About Martha on CTV and the Comedy Network, and Comics! on the CBC.

Martha’s often heard on CBC radio’s The Debaters and Laugh Out Loud and is a cast member of CBC’s Because News. Her album Chunky Salsa is available on all platforms and heard on Sirius XM.

Infant and Child Studies group is a group of researchers interested in better understanding child cognition: so how kids learn! All our studies are designed as games for children to play while we observe how they respond to various toys, videos or sounds. The activities are fun for the kids, and help us to understand concepts like how children learn new words, when children can begin to understand math, or what learning strategies kids use to understand new concepts.
