Canadian Music distinguishes us from other cultures.
ReplyDeleteCanadian music makes me proud to be a Canadian!
ReplyDeleteCanadian music like theirs defined much of my youth and made me proud to be Canadian!
ReplyDeleteCanadian music is underrated. I have listened to Our Lady Peace since I was in Junior High always brag about my favorite band being from Canada. It makes them sound exotic, lol.
ReplyDeleteCanadian music is so distinctly ours, from the one man band at the local pub to a big star like Bryan Adams. We are incredibly talented up here as we've had many opportunities to jam in our basements during our long cold winters. So proud of all the talent that has come out of this great Country of ours!

ReplyDeleteWith the US right at our doorstep, it is important to have our own culture and voice. Canadian music gives us that unique voice -- and we Canadians do it so damn well!
ReplyDeleteCanadian music has always been a passion. Whether you saw April Wine at Lulu's on New Year's Eve or danced to Spirit of the West's 'Home For A Rest' at a school dance (or saw them in concert!), everyone knows Canadian music and what makes it distinctly ours.
ReplyDeleteI like canadian music and support canadian music because we have so much to be proud of
ReplyDeleteCanadian music to me is the core of what joins all Canadians together. It's something neutral that we can all enjoy and put any differences aside.
ReplyDeleteCanadian music to me is the core of what joins all Canadians together. It's something neutral that we can all enjoy and put any differences aside.
ReplyDeleteCanadian music gives us a unique voice and showcases all of the talented musicians and singers our country has. Plus, Our Lady Peace has been my favourite band since I was 11 so I would love to see Raine and Chantal perform together!
ReplyDeleteCanadian music is important to me because it defines so many of my husband and mine's best moments as a couple and as parents. Our 'babymoon' when we were expecting our first was two different OLP concerts and during a high risk second pregnancy Raine's music was the only thing that would calm our second both in utero and after his arrival! We have family sing-a-longs to great Canadian artists and use at least one rare 'date night' a year to attend a Canadian artist's concert or local music festival. It allows my husband and I to connect on another level and just enjoy time spent together. My husband's birthday is Feb 12th and I can't think of a better way to celebrate together!
ReplyDeleteCanadians are so creative and Canadian music is important because it showcases our culture. We have unique voices and it shows! Our country is so talented!
ReplyDeleteIt matters to me because I am a Canadian musician.
ReplyDeleteWe have world class talented musicians that I'm proud to support and thrilled to see live whenever I have the opportunity. Many defining moments of my youth, as well as several cross-country road trips, were spent listening to fabulous Canadian music providing wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteCanadian Music is very important to me as it holds many amazing memories with my oldest son . For a few all Canadian groups, Soul Decision, and Not By Choice, the band memebers each took their time and spent time with my oldest. My son also sang with Not By Choice on stage each time they were at a concert. I love that canadian artists also seem to put more real music into their music. We want ti tmore and appreciate what it takes to get there .
ReplyDeletecanadian music is part of who we are
ReplyDeleteIt is in our blood, music!
ReplyDeleteBeing Canadian, it gives me so much pride in my heart to see unique Canadian artists striving to create and share their soulful music. It is a sound from home, and to know that we are both from this beautiful country makes the songs even more special and relatable. Canadian music does no follow a fixed template, and wants to explore different fusions of instruments and styles. It speaks from a true voice that wants to release a genuine message that reflects the values of all Canadians. Especially from muscians like Raine and Chantal, they have such distinct voices and a passion that is not like anywhere else. Thank you, Canadian music!
