    Honestly don't think I beat the hum-drums. Housecleaning is a necessary evil but feels good to see what I've accomplished and to check off the list

    I don't do too much at one time. I keep it limited to one room, or one thing at a time (such as just vacuuming, or just mopping, or cleaning the kid's bedroom, etc). (Andrea Amy)

    I beat the hum drums by doing housework on a dailly basis instead of letting things pile up and keep my home organized so its not such a task.

    I let the kids have a spray bottle with water in it. They spray and wipe everything. It's fun and it cleans.

    Ibwait until my toddler falls asleep for the night and then I clean. No sense stressing over it .It is only kid you mess anyway, so with a toddler I wait until he is asleep then clean.
