    Sherlock Holmes Production To Benefit Nutrition For Learning - Enter To Win A Pair Of Tickets

    Sounds a little scary right? Well this production from Act Out KW is recommended for those aged 10+ so we are thrilled to have a contest for those with older kids!

    This production runs from February 28 2014 to March 1 2014 at The Registry Theater in Kitchener Ontario.  You can buy your tickets on ticketscene.ca just be sure you select the proper date and time for the performance. The ticket prices are very affordable and the production will be collecting coins to support Nutrition For Learning.

    Sherlock Holmes and the West End Horror is a full length mystery/comedy. Synopsis: “A despicable theatre critic been murdered, and Holmes and Watson are soon visited by George Bernard Shaw, an aspiring Irish playwright who entices Holmes to take the case. As they cross swords with the most famous literary luminaries of the day – Oscar Wilde, Gilbert & Sullivan, Henry Irving, Bram Stoker and a young H.G. Wells, Holmes and Watson come face to face with their own celebrity as they pursue the killer in this rollickingly funny whodunit! All Sherlockians should get a kick out of this!”

    Movie Morning to End MS –Blockbuster movies & costumed characters combine for a cause!
    Food, family, fantasy and fun all for a great cause!This Family Day – Monday February 17th 2014, the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Waterloo Region andLandmark Cinemas in Kitchener are hosting the fifth annual Movie Morning to End MS.
    Four blockbuster movies will be featured on the big screen for the low price of ten dollars per family or group of four people. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.wagjag.com/deal/kitchener-waterloo/-647832#headerMenu. Tickets can also be purchased at the theatre (135 Gateway Park Drive, Kitchener) on the day of the event for twenty dollars per family of group of four people.
    Attendees will be able to visit with live costumed movie characters – princesses, super heroes and ghost busters! Kitchener Fire Fighters and Kitchener Police Officers will be in attendance as well as, Tex the Kitchener Rangers Mascot, Miss Oktoberfest, Onkel Hans, a clown and face painters! LED magic wands and swords will be on sale and the cinemas concession counter will be open food purchases.
    All money raised through this event goes to support programs and services at the local Waterloo Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.The MS Society provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families as well as funds research to find the cause and a cure for this disease.For more information on the local MS Society visit our website at www.mssociety.ca/waterloo.

    This multi-sensory theatrical adaptation of Jean Giono's environmental classic tells the inspiring story of a shepherd who plants a forest, acorn by acorn, transforming a barren wasteland. As much a touching tale as it is a hilarious puppet show, The Man Who Planted Trees shows us the difference one man (and his dog!) can make to the world. Puppet State Theatre Company is based in Edinburgh, specializing in live theatre with puppetry, storytelling and a dash of improvisation.
    The show runs approximately 65 minutes and is suitable for adults and children over 7.
